Fungus

Fungus is a simple algorithm. With each itteration, each living cell has a chance to spawn, eat a weaker neighbor and draw energy from its parent. By repeating this, a single cell turns into a colony which appears to grow and attack other colonies.

The fungal cultures can be seen by every one looking at it and changes made by one person are immediatly visable to everyone.

The Different Fungal Cultures

 The classic fungus with six equal cell types.

 Six color fungus with rules about who can eat who.
  • Blue can not eat Green or Purple.
  • Green can not eat Yellow or Blue.
  • Yellow can not eat Orange or Green.
  • Orange can not eat Red or Yellow.
  • Red can not eat Purple or Orange.
  • Purple can not eat Blue or Red.

 Fungus with only three cell types; Red, Green and Blue.

 A double sized culture dish or high resolution fungus.

 E

 Six color fungus with rules about who can eat who.
  • Blue can only eat Green and Yellow.
  • Green can only eat Yellow and Orange.
  • Yellow can only eat Orange and Red.
  • Orange can only eat Red and Purple.
  • Red can only eat Purple and Blue.
  • Purple can only eat Blue and Green.
